FAQ’s

If you have booked a Party, Special Event or Family Celebration, then this is the information you will need to know.

  • On the day of your event, one of the team will meet you at the hall and unlock. We will show you where the cleaning materials are and the first aid book, if required we can show you how to use the sound system and cooker. We will be available to answer any of your questions.

  • If you want to view the hall before your special day, then one of the team will be happy to show you around. Just contact us and we will be happy to meet you at your convenience.

  • To secure your booking, an invoice will be sent to you for the deposit, this is returnable after your event, providing the hall is left in good condition. Following your booking, arrangements will be made to refund you with your deposit.

  • On your emailed invoice you will have the information reguarding payment to the Village Hall. For your information the bank details are Southbourne Village Hall, Account number- 01443386 - Sort code 30 93 97, please quote your invoice number.

  • You will be provided with Southbourne Village Hall’s bank details, enabling you to pay on line.

  • Please ensure you read Southbourne Village hall  ‘Conditions of hire policy’ and the ‘Health and Safety’ policy. Essential if you are a new group using the hall.

  • One week prior to your booking you will be required to pay the balance.

  • Please allow adequate time within your booking to set up and clear away.

  • You are welcome to book a Bouncy Castle as we have ample of  room, there are a number of local companies that use the hall, however it is essential that you check that they have Public liability insurance, this can be found on their website.

  • If you are a regular booking/group, then we will give you the key code so that you can let yourself in the hall.

  • CANDY FLOSS MACHINE- Due to a number of issues and damage caused to the floor, we cannot accept this type of activity.
