Liquor Laws
The hall has no licence to sell alcohol, however wine can be served at a private function on a 'Bring Your Own' basis.
If alcohol is to be sold at functions (including any priced ticket charges), you will require a TEN (Temporary Event Notice) obtained from the Licensing Department at Chichester District Council, the current cost is £21.00 for each TEN.
You should allow at least 21 working days for the application.
A 'standard' TEN must ordinarily be given with at least 10 clear working days notice before the date on which the event is to commence. However in some cases a 'late' TEN may be given where the notice period is between 5 and 9 clear working days.
A limited number of TENs are issued a year.
